Unbeknown to most of American’s (or unbe..”cared by”) I just found out that the Richard Marx song, “Right Here Waiting” was a track (perhaps the best) off of the most recent Donny Osmond album, “What I Meant to Say”. (Well, ok, it came out in 2004, which I’ll admit is a few years ago and not even the most recent at all as he just dropped “Love Songs of the Seventies” like, last week or in April – but are we counting this as an album? Rob and I happened to catch a fantastic local commercial the other day. More or less this: Some thieving, ski-capped man is breaking into a car. Before he can do much of much, the car owner walks by and tosses the thief his/her keys and says with a straight-face, “Don’t forget to sell the motor for drugs” or a something along those lines. This happens with a few cars and owners; “Why don’t you drive it to Mexico and turn it into a car bomb?” keys tossed, car-thief looking perplexed, etc. The slug line and/or purpose of the ad is to remind people to take their keys with them when they leave their car.
