Before I can even stop looking at Twitter, I see this breaking addition to my theory: Kroger recalling ground beef. Nice.

Dr. Dre famously opined that "You can't make a ho a housewife"

By that logic, on the plus side, you're not a ho.

Have you tried ear plugs? I find that I get fixated on a noise in the room - even a noise that SHOULD be relaxing, like a fan or an air conditioner, and I keep thinking about the noise and how it will continue all night and I can't stop thinking about it. Complete silence helps me. Give it a try.

I don't know how helpful this will be... Supposedly one aspect of insomnia is the fact that your brain is still chugging along at the same pace it has been all day. If you engage the part of your brain that deals with language by reading a book before sleep, it supposedly helps shut off the chattering to let your brain rest.

That may be an overly simplistic response to a more dynamic problem, I don't know. I do know that I read every night before bed and tend to have decent sleep patterns most of the time.

Just remember not to read anything too crazy. Otherwise you'll lie there, not sleeping, thinking about the crazy thing you just read.
